About Celendos Dremax

Where mobile development skills are built, not borrowed

Celendos Dremax masterclass session in progress

A platform built around one stubborn idea

Celendos Dremax started with a question that kept coming up in developer communities around Roodepoort and beyond: why do so many people finish courses but still struggle to ship a real app? The answer, more often than not, was that they had memorised syntax without understanding the decisions behind it. We set out to change that with a different kind of masterclass — one where the instructor shows their reasoning, not just their keystrokes.

Every session on this platform is structured around real development decisions — choosing between native and cross-platform, structuring state management under pressure, handling API failures gracefully. We work with practitioners who have shipped apps to actual users, not just built demos for a portfolio. The gap between tutorial and production is where most learners get stuck, and that is exactly where we focus.

Four things that shape every course we publish

These are not values on a poster. They are decisions that affect which instructors we work with and how sessions are structured.

Decisions over steps

Instructors explain why they made a choice, not just what to type next. This means sessions take longer to record but land differently for learners.

Access without travel

Students from Johannesburg, Soweto, and further afield can access the same sessions without coordinating travel across the city. Schedules stay flexible.

Depth over breadth

A single well-covered topic — say, navigation patterns in React Native — is worth more than a surface tour of ten frameworks. Courses stay focused and specific.

Honest about difficulty

Mobile development takes time to get right. Instructors are expected to acknowledge where things break, not just show the clean path through a problem.

The people who put sessions together

Thabo Nkwanyana

Lead Instructor — Android

Thabo spent six years building fintech apps for the South African market before joining Celendos Dremax. His sessions on Kotlin architecture components draw directly from production codebases he has maintained.

Renata Piotrowski

Curriculum Designer

Renata structures how sessions flow — from problem setup through to hands-on exercises. She reviews every course for gaps between what is taught and what learners actually need to do independently.

Oluwaseun Adeyemi

Instructor — Cross-Platform

Oluwaseun focuses on Flutter and React Native, with particular attention to performance bottlenecks that only appear on mid-range devices — the kind most users in South Africa actually own.
